Every msgboard software allows to modify the page templates. So there's no problem to design the header or anything else according to your needs and wishes. -

Can you explain? Are you looking for a wordpress plugin that provides a msgboard? In my opinion, this is a bit senseless and not the aim of wordpress. -
There are none that I know of.
Only Asymptomatic thought about it - a while ago though. Maybe he'll finish something particular soon.. who knows. -

But though fully compatible (one member database for both, afaik) and a side project, it is still alpha/beta. The only place it currently runs on (I know of) is http://wordpress.org/support
Besides: May I ask why you are looking for a WordPress compatible board? :)
