To install the Xampp Webserver for U3 do the following:
1: you've obviously unpacked this already so no need to tell you to Unrar the files :P
2: Go to apache friends - xampp for windows and download the "ZIP" version (this is very important !)
3: Extract the "ZIP" archive to your usb root directory (should look like: x:\xampp where "x" is your usb drive).
4: Go to your U3 launchpad and select "Add Programs" > "Install from this computer".
5: Navigate to where you unpacked the U3_Install folder and select the "XAMPP Webserver.u3p" file.
6: Follow the installation procedure. When it's finished go to your launchpad en start "XAMPP Webserver".
7: In the "XAMPP Control Panel" select "Start" to startup the service you require.
(You'll notice the word "running" in front of the service you started).
The U3 installer should be compatible with any new releases of Xampp.
All you need to do to upgrade to a newer version is download the .zip
upgrade package and follow the instructions within.
If you are unsure how to do it or have questions about it,
please visit Apache Friends Support Forum • Index page and post your question in the forum.
Since i created the U3 installer i will NOT be responsible for any problems that might rise
with xampp during installation or use. Visit apache friends - very easy apache, mysql, php and perl installation without hassles for manuals and support
on the xampp webserver system.
If you have any problems with the U3 installer, drop a line in the following forum:

NOTE 1: To start the filezilla ftp server you'll need to check the "svc" box in front of it.
(It needs to be started as a service in order to run properly)
The mailserver can be started by pressing the "start" button next to it.
NOTE 2: I noticed when skype is running the apache service would not start.
It said "running" but immediately stopped again.
This is because skype reserves port 80 of your system.
To resolve this simply close skype, start apache and then restart skype
or start apache before you start skype.
That's it... Have Fun !!!
