Post Teaser bzw moretag funktioniert nicht.

Hallo,
habe heir ein sehr großes Problem. Möchte meine Artikel nur als Teaser anzeigen lassen, und der eigentliche Artikel öffnet sich erst nach klick.
Die Funktion hab ich auch soweit gefunden, lässt sich einbauen, aber es passiert dann nichts, der Artikel wird komplett ausgegeben, so als wäre der Moretag garned drinnen.
Auch mit dem Post Teaser klappt es nicht. hier mal meine index.php und meine single.php hoffe die helfen.

der the_content eintrag sieht in jeder datei eigentlich gleich aus, trotzdem passiert nichts.
könnt ihr mir auf die sprünge helfen?

vllt sollte ich noch dazu sagen, das Theme ist mit Artisteer erstellt. Gibts da vllt probleme?
im default theme funktioniert der moretag. Nur mit diesem Theme, mit dem artistier theme nicht.

mir ist noch was aufgefallen.
Wenn ich meinen Theme aktivieren will wird es in der Vorschau angezeigt, da werden die news wunderbar gekürzt, aber kaum ist er aktiviert wird nichts mehr gekürzt.
ach übgrigens, seite heißt http://www.jff.de/generationen

und dort unter neuigkeiten soll nur die artikel angezeigt werden, die zur kategorie neuigkeiten gehören. das klappt auch, allerdings wird der moretag außer acht gelassen
