Probleme bei der Installation

Hallo,

ich möchte gerne WP-MU 2.71 installieren und habe schon bei der ersten Seite Probleme. Nach dem Start des Install-Skripts kommt diese Fehlermeldung:

One or more of the directories must be made writeable by the webserver. You will be reminded to reset the permissions at the end of the install.
Please chmod 777 directory-name or chown that directory to the user the web server runs as (usually nobody, apache, or www-data)
Refresh this page when you're done!

Ich habe den 3 Verzeichnissen wp-admin, wp-content und wp-includes bereits das Attribut 777 zugewiesen. Welche Verzeichnisrechte muss ich denn noch ändern, damit die Installation funktioniert?

Außerdem kommt noch die Fehlermeldung:

Offending file: /www/htdocs/w00b6843/.htaccess

Ich habe WP-MU im Hauptverzeichnis installiert und habe dort bereits eine .htaccess drin. Soll ich die während der Installation umbenennen und kann ich dann nachher die beiden .htacces zusammenfügen?

Das Problem ist, dass ich auf das Hauptverzeichnis keinen Zugriff habe. Ich habe WP-Mu schon im Root installiert und auf das Verzeichnis drüber habe ich keinen Zugriff :(
