Bin froh, dass es nicht an meiner Inkompetenz zu liegen scheint ^^

Hallo, ich versuche verzweifelt Wordpress auf Webspace von Netcologne zu installieren.

Ich habe dabei Version 2.7.1 ausgewählt. Bislang hab ich WP schon mehrfach auf anderen freien und auch kostenpflichtigen Webspaces hochgeladen und dann auch keine großartigen Datenbankprobleme gehabt.

Nun bekomme ich aber eine Fehlermeldung, dass nicht auf die Datenbank zugegriffen werden kann.

Im phpmyadmin wird dort auch auf der Startseite gleich folgende Meldung gezeigt:
"Die Version der verwendeten PHP MySQL Bibliothek 5.0.51a unterscheidet sich von der Version des MySQL Servers 4.1.22. Dies kann zu unerwartetem Verhalten führen."

Ist das schlimm?

Die WP 2.7.1 Anforderungen sind ja:

PHP Version 4.3 oder höher
MySQL Version 4.0 oder höher

In der wp-config stehen im relevanten Bereich folgende Infos (PW natürlich nicht veröffentlicht ;) ):

Vielleicht seht ihr als Profis ja hier schon direkt einen Grund für das Scheitern der Installation? Dass Datenbankname und User identisch sind könnte höchstens noch ein Fehler sein, aber ich logge mich damit bei phpmyadmin ein und es ist auch die dort vorliegende Datenbank...also doch eigentlich richtig, oder?

hab die 700 mal durch 0 ersetzt und siehe da, es ist nur so lang wie nötig. verstehe den sinn eigentlich nicht von dem 700er padding.

und das mit dem Bot hab ich schon vermutet. ich kann also auch künftig montags früh um 2.00 uhr anfragen senden, die direkt beantwortet werden. :)

es wird langsam :)

ich glaube ich werde langsam auch fitter, was php angeht, immerhin hab ich die if abfragen aus dem Header auch in der Page.php in den Seitentiteln einbauen können :)

Nur hinter eine Sache blicke ich immer noch nicht: wieso ist die Height der gesamten Seite immer so hoch bzw die Seite so lang, selbst wenn auf der Seite wenig Content vorliegt. Ich finde einfach nirgends eine Height Angabe im CSS oder eine streckende Grafik, die das bewirken könnte...das Theme, auf dem die ganze Seite basiert ist "Corporate Globe".

Hallo,

ich hätte drei Fragen zu folgender Seite:
LPM Home
(theme: corporate globe 1.0.2)

1. ich möchte künftig einen flexiblen header_bg haben, da sollen dann entsprechend der aufgerufenen Seite Header mit einem passenden BG geladen werden.

2. im Header Menü sind die Seiten anders angeordnet als links im Sidebar. Kann ich das auch irgendwie beeinflussen? Und wie kann ich die Anzahl der Menüpunkte im Header Menü verändern

3. das Impressum habe ich als Seite angelegt, aber ich möchte es nicht in das eigentliche Menü (weder in den sidebar und erst recht nicht in das header menü) aufnehmen, geht das?

Wäre wirklich großartig, wenn ihr mir helfen könntet, tausend Dank im Voraus!

Hallo, ich bin neu in Sachen Wordpress unterwegs.

Ich möchte WP gerne als CMS nutzen, weniger als Blog mit Kommentaren. Bin also für jegliche Hinweise und ratschläge dankbar :)

Nun habe ich zunächst einmal eine konkrete Frage:

ich möchte nun den Header mit den Slides auf allen Seiten haben (in den Kategorien geht er, auf einzelnen Beiträgen und vor allem den Pages jedoch nicht...), wie richte ich das ein? Einfach den oberen Teil der Category.php in die page.php reinkopieren?
